"A sign of a celebrity is that his name is often worth more than his services. He is an omnipresent feature of society, blazing lasting impressions in the memories of all who cross its path."

Celebrity endorsements are solely for the purpose of uplifting the image of a product or a brand. The celebrity can be a public figure or a locally famous personality. The endorsements can be either testimonials, TVCs, mentions etc. Celebrity endorsement if used effectively, makes the brand stand out, galvanizes brand recall and facilitates instant awareness. To achieve this, the marketer needs to be really disciplined in choice of a celebrity. Hence the right use of celebrity can escalate the Unique Selling Proposition of a brand to new heights; but a cursory orientation of a celebrity with a brand may prove to be claustrophobic for the brand. A celebrity is a means to an end, and not an end in himself / herself.

The dhak- dhak girl will once again be seen on the small screen but this time encouraging the girls on a culinary reality show. The show is set to kick off in September. Madhuri Dixit shares her cooking skills and talks about some food related fun incidents.

There has been talk in B-town about Madhuri signing up for the remakes of Satte Pe Satta and Ishqiya, she is quick to deny the same. “Let me clarify that I haven’t been approached for these roles, and I haven’t got the script yet. I have watched Ishqiya and loved it. I haven’t signed anything yet. Once I sign a film, I will announce it the very same evening. There is nothing to announce as of now,” she quips.

Madhuri Dixit Nene’s reaction to the recent debate in Bollywood over pregnancy clauses — stemming out from the rift between of filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar and actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan — was curt.

What is Emeralds for Elephants all about?

Wildlife Trust of India identified 88 vital corridors for elephant movements. Securing these corridors, many of which have villages on it, meant working with local communities and governments; giving them alternate homes so that these places could be given back to the elephants. World Land Trust took up this initiative. Crucial funds for these works came from Emeralds for Elephants event where World Land Trust and gemstones mining company Gemfields, together with Jaguar Land Rover and the Gemological Institute of America, have collaborated with 10 of India’s top jewellery designers to create a collection using Zambian Emerald jewellery. Who could have imagined that precious green stones would raise precious funds for precious green spaces so that our national heritage animal is secured.

M.F. Husain was always full of excitement and ever on the move, reminisces Madhuri Dixit, the celebrated painter's first Bollywood muse with whom he had planned an ambitious project on Indian cinema. The diva, who had spoken to Husain over a month ago, says he would become sad about not being able to return to India.

M F Husain has painted beautiful women, but the one he was most enamoured by was undoubtedly Bollywood's dhak dhak girl Madhuri Dixit. The actress who is based in Denver now paid a tribute to, probably her most ardent admirer, so far in. Saddened by the unexpected demise of the legend, Madhuri conveyed her deep grief over phone from Denver. "I will fall short of words to express myself on this legend. He shared a very beautiful bond with me. I will always miss him. May his soul rest in peace" said the actress.
